Jawbone deterioration occurs when missing teeth are not replaced almost immediately after falling out. Because the All-on-4 implants are made from titanium, they have the ability to fuse to living bone and function as part of it. This allows the jawbone to regain some of the mass it may have lost, and the jaw will become a strong, long-term foundation for your new teeth. Dentures and bridgework do not offer this same benefit.

Who is a candidate for All-on-4 implants?
All-on-4 is convenient, innovative and cost-effective. Any patient around Scottsdale, Arizona who is missing one or more teeth or is faced with substantial tooth loss may be a candidate. All-on-4 can be a great option for you if you have tried dentures and dislike them and want improved functionality and appearance. This option also provides a fast recovery because it is usually done in one visit with local anesthesia. X-rays and/or a CT scans will be done to ensure you have enough bone structure to support the implants and maintain proper alignment.
What is the process for All-on-4 at Scottsdale Family Smiles?
In preparation for the procedure, we will perform a comprehensive examination, gather information on your oral and overall health, perform X-rays and/or CT scans and create a computer simulation of the implants. This allows us to adjust the implants as necessary and design your new set of teeth based on your needs.
The actual procedure typically takes about 2.5 hours per arch. Dr. Fattah can install implants on your upper, lower or both arches at the same time. We will provide you with anesthesia, then place the implants directly into your jawbone to secure your new set of teeth in place.
