Meet Dr. Fattah
Dr. Kamran Fattah graduated from Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry in 2003. After graduation, Dr. Fattah practiced general dentistry in Oregon and began treating sleep-disordered breathing in 2009. In 2017, Dr. Fattah decided to relocate to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona to live and practice holistic dentistry. Dr. Fattah is a Fellow of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, a clinical Advocate for Vivos Therapeutics, and a Breathe Institute Ambassador. He has successfully treated hundreds of adults and children with sleep-disordered breathing, TMD, tethered oral tissues, and facial hypoplasia.
Throughout his practice in biological dentistry, Dr. Fattah discovered his passion for helping adults and children breathe better while awake and asleep, achieve adequate tongue space and mobility, get relief from jaw pain, and promote normal facial growth. Dr. Fattah sees every patient visit as an opportunity to serve others, refine his expertise, or even to save a life. When not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking the perfect steak, and trying to golf.

Meet Dr. Badea
We at Scottsdale Family Smiles are proud to introduce Dr. Julia Badea to you. Dr. Badea and Dr. Fattah worked together from 2017-2020 when he first moved to Arizona. Dr. Fattah recognized Dr. Badea’s skill and commitment to patient care and has enjoyed mentoring Dr. Badea as she has developed into an amazing holistic dental care provider.
Dr. Badea is committed to using a humanistic approach to dental care, where each patient can expect thoughtful listening, a caring touch, and the highest quality treatment available. She believes in the importance of establishing an honest connection with each person she sees, one that fosters understanding and trust. With open dialogue, Dr. Badea’s focus is on the root cause of each patient’s concerns and ailments rather than simply treating their symptoms.
Dr. Badea graduated first in her class from A. T. Stills University with both a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and a Master’s in Public Health. Since graduating, her passion for learning has kept her very busy. She has completed some of the most prestigious and advanced postgraduate training courses available in dentistry. From esthetic dentistry to surgical and restorative care, Dr. Badea provides her patients with the most innovative, long-lasting, biologically compatible and comfortable care possible. Dr. Badea strives to deliver each patient an individually tailored plan of care that promotes whole body health and function.
Aside from the broad spectrum of clinical procedures Dr. Badea performs, she is an interesting person to converse with (in many languages). She speaks English, Romanian, French and Spanish and has a passion for reading, painting and interacting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. When not practicing or studying dentistry, Dr. Badea enjoys spending time with her two sons, Nico and Theo, her husband Gino and their dog Bella.
